This facilitates Reliance Mobile subscribers to connect to internet on Computer/Laptop via mobile handset using MobileNet GPRS plans.
Following are the Mode of Internet Connectivity to PC/Laptop.
FOR RTL CUSTOMER TO USE MOBILENET GPRS (MODEM SERVICE)
- Customers should have handset which supports MobileNet (GPRS)
- Customers need to download the MobileNet (GPRS) settings.
- Once the settings are download - Prepaid customers need to recharge with selected voucher and postpaid customers need to subscribe for MobileNet GPRS plans
- Customers can give a request for MobileNet (GPRS) plans via Customer Care.
- Customers need to have Data cable.
- Dial up Connection needs to be created.
- Once Setting is downloaded & plan / voucher is recharged customer can start using this through Dial up Connection.
(HANDSET DEPENDANT)
- Install the Drivers provided with the handset
- Got to Control Panel
- Open Phone and Modem Option
- Go to Modem Tab
- Select the Installed Drivers
- Go to Properties and then select Advance tab
- There you will find an empty text box; where you have to write at+cgdcont=1,”ip”,”internet
- Select OK and then Connect to Internet through the dialer.
- Install the software in PC for the handset and Data Cable
- Detect your handset as a modem
- Create a new dial up connection using your handset which has been detected as a modem, you would get the dialup window.
- Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Open Phones & Modems > Select Active Modem; Go to Properties select Diagnostics and Click Query
- If Modem is correctly installed then the result will appear in below window with handset model and other handset related information.
- Go to Network Connections and create a new dialup connection using Infrared as a modem, you would get the dialup window.
- Put in the dial up number as *99#
- User Name Password field should remain Blank.
- Click on the dialling tab, it will dial automatically and get connected to RTLNET
- Insert the Bluetooth dongle to the USB port of PC/Laptop.
- Load the software with the help of the CD given along with the Bluetooth dongle.
- As and when the software is loaded, a Bluetooth icon is displayed on the desktop of your PC.
- Switch on the Bluetooth of your handset.
- Double Click the Bluetooth icon on the desktop.
- Pair the handset with the Bluetooth.
- As and when we pair the handset we get the dial up connection icon.
- Double Click on the icon, we get the dialup window ( if prompted put in the dialling number)
- Put in the dial up number as *99#
- User Name Password field should remain Blank.
- Click on the dialling tab, it will dial automatically and get connected to RTLNET
- Insert the IR dongle to the USB port of PC/Laptop.
- Switch on the IR of the handset and place it in front of the IR port attached to PC / Laptop.
- PC automatically recognises the new modem and simultaneously drivers for the same are loaded.
- Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Open Phones & Modems > Select Active Modem; Go to Properties select Diagnostics and Click Query
- If Modem is correctly installed then the result will appear in below window with handset model and other handset related information.
- Go to Network Connections and create a new dialup connection using Infrared as a modem, you would get the dialup window.
- Put in the dial up number as *99#
- User Name Password field should remain Blank.
- Click on the dialling tab, it will dial automatically and get connected to RTLNET
